Luxonis raises $14M for robot perception

Robots do not just need better brains. They also need better eyes.

What happened

Luxonis raised a $14M Series A led by Denali Growth Partners, with Taiwania Capital participating. The company builds the OAK camera and DepthAI software platform for robotics, automation and other physical AI applications.

Its technology helps machines perceive the world around them, which is a core layer for robots, drones, industrial systems and edge AI devices.

Why it matters

Physical AI is not only about humanoid robots or large foundation models. It also depends on sensors, cameras, embedded chips and perception software that can work reliably in real environments.

Luxonis is interesting because it is selling into the infrastructure layer behind robotics rather than trying to own the whole robot.

The bigger picture

As AI moves from screens into warehouses, factories and physical spaces, perception becomes a bottleneck. Startups building the enabling layers for robotics may become just as important as the companies building the robots themselves.
