Lightfield raises $47M to rebuild CRM for AI agents
Lightfield raised a $47 million Series A to build a CRM designed around AI agents that can create and manage pipeline themselves.

Most CRMs were built around humans manually entering and updating information. Lightfield is betting that the next generation should be designed around agents from the start.
What happened
Lightfield raised a $47 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, with Maverick Capital, Coatue, Greylock, Lightspeed and others participating. The company is building a CRM where AI agents can create pipeline, manage deals and update customer information automatically.
Why it matters
If agents increasingly perform sales work themselves, the system of record needs to capture machine-generated activity rather than depend on salespeople to keep it updated. That creates an opening for new entrants to challenge legacy CRM architecture.
The bigger picture
AI-native enterprise software is increasingly being designed around a different assumption: humans supervise workflows, while agents handle more of the repetitive execution underneath.
