Kimi starts selling the infrastructure that keeps AI agents running
A long-running agent needs somewhere dependable to execute tools, remember progress and recover from interruptions.

A long-running agent needs somewhere dependable to execute tools, remember progress and recover from interruptions.
What happened
Moonshot introduced Kimi Hosted Agents, a managed cloud runtime for enterprises and developers. The announcement describes support for long-running tasks and collaboration between agents, with isolated sandboxes, network-access controls, session interruption and audit records.
This is an agent infrastructure service, separate from a new foundation-model release.
Why it matters
Teams building agents otherwise need to maintain the surrounding execution framework themselves. A hosted service could shorten that setup work, although customers still need to define permissions and verify the behaviour of their applications.
The bigger picture
Model providers are moving further into the infrastructure around their models. Customers gain an integrated service, but must also consider how portable their tools, execution history and operating processes will be if they change providers.
