Intu raises €1.1M for lab-free diagnostics
Intu Diagnostics raised a €1.1M strategic bridge round to advance its lab-free molecular diagnostics platform.

Molecular diagnostics are moving closer to the patient. Intu Diagnostics is building lab-free testing that can work beyond centralised lab infrastructure.
What happened
Intu Diagnostics, a Leipzig-based Fraunhofer Society spin-off, raised a €1.1M strategic bridge round, bringing total funding to over €3M.
The company is developing a lab-free molecular diagnostics platform, with its first application focused on HPV testing in women’s health. The round was backed by BSV Ventures, SAB and business angels.
Why it matters
This is a useful healthtech signal.
Diagnostics are shifting toward faster, more decentralised workflows that can support clinics, homes and resource-limited settings. Lab-free testing could make molecular diagnostics more accessible and reduce dependence on central lab capacity.
The bigger picture
Healthcare infrastructure is moving closer to the point of care. Startups that make testing faster, simpler and less infrastructure-heavy may become important as health systems look for earlier detection and broader access.
