Humanoid raises $152M for industrial robot rollout
UK robotics startup Humanoid has raised $152M to move its wheeled industrial robots from development into customer deployments and manufacturing scale.
Humanoid’s latest round is less about proving that humanoid-style robots can move and more about proving they can become dependable industrial products.
What happened
The UK robotics startup raised a $152M Series A at a $1.35B post-money valuation, bringing its total funding to $270M. Prime Movers Lab led the round, with participation from Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital and Aglaé Ventures.
Humanoid is developing wheeled industrial robots designed for repetitive work in factories and logistics environments. The company plans to begin beta deployments in the fourth quarter of 2026, expand manufacturing and continue developing KinetIQ, its AI platform for controlling and coordinating the machines.
Why it matters
Robotics companies often attract attention through polished demonstrations, but commercial success depends on operating safely, consistently and economically inside real customer facilities. Humanoid is now entering that harder phase.
Its strategic investors also matter. Manufacturers such as Bosch and Schaeffler can provide industrial knowledge, potential deployment environments and a clearer route from prototype to production.
The bigger picture
Capital is moving from general enthusiasm around humanoids toward the infrastructure required to manufacture, train and deploy them. The companies that win may not be those with the most human-looking machines, but those that can deliver measurable productivity with minimal disruption to existing operations.
