Hubble Raises $200M for Bluetooth-to-Satellite Network
Hubble Network has raised $200M and opened its satellite network to general availability, aiming to connect Bluetooth devices directly to orbit.

Hubble Network has raised $200M and opened a network designed to connect ordinary Bluetooth devices directly to satellites.
What happened
The company raised a Series C that values it at $1.6B and launched its network into general availability.
Its technology is designed to let Bluetooth Low Energy devices connect to satellites through software and firmware changes rather than requiring a dedicated satellite modem.
Why it matters
Satellite connectivity usually depends on specialised hardware, which limits adoption across low-cost sensors and existing devices.
If Hubble can reliably connect ordinary Bluetooth equipment from orbit, industries such as logistics, asset tracking, vehicles and remote monitoring could add global connectivity without redesigning hardware.
The bigger picture
The satellite market is moving from connectivity for phones and broadband toward much larger populations of machines and sensors. Direct-to-device networks could turn space infrastructure into a background layer for industrial IoT rather than a specialised communications service.
