Honeyjar Launches AI Communications Platform

Honeyjar is packaging public-relations research, planning and execution into an AI-powered platform aimed at companies without large communications teams.

What happened

Founded by communications executives Michelle Masek and Nadia Jamshidi, Honeyjar is developing software to support activities such as journalist research, media monitoring, briefing preparation and the identification of communications opportunities. The startup says its early waitlist attracted 10,000 signups in its first day and has named several companies among beta users. Those are company-reported interest metrics, not evidence of paying-customer retention or recurring revenue. Users still approve outward-facing messages rather than allowing the product to send every communication autonomously.

Why it matters

Communications teams spend time stitching together databases, news monitoring, research and writing tools. A workflow platform that maintains context could reduce that coordination burden and make professional processes accessible to smaller companies. Its commercial advantage will depend on data quality, integration and the credibility of suggested outreach.

The bigger picture

AI is moving into specialist professional services where expertise involves judgment, relationships and process management, not only content generation. The main test for Honeyjar is whether it can outperform general-purpose assistants and established public-relations platforms on outcomes while protecting the integrity of media relationships.
