Italian digital clinic Holifya raised €2M seed funding to scale AI-supported obesity care around GLP-1 treatment.

The round included €1.6M in equity plus €0.4M in debt and grants, led by Next Age.

Holifya’s model sits around diagnostics, treatment support, monitoring and personalised care pathways for patients using or considering GLP-1 medications. The company is operating in a market where demand has surged, but where long-term adherence, side effects, access and clinical oversight remain major challenges.

The round is small, but it reflects a broader move from generic wellness apps toward more structured digital clinics around specific treatment categories.

Why it matters

This is a relevant healthtech item because GLP-1s are changing obesity care faster than many healthcare systems can adapt.

Patients need more than a prescription. They need screening, follow-up, nutrition support, side-effect management and long-term behaviour change. Digital care platforms can help package those workflows, especially if they reduce clinician load without making care feel automated in a risky way.
