Harmonic Security has raised $50 million to help companies monitor and control how employees and AI agents interact with sensitive data across workplace tools.
What happened
The Series B was led by Crosspoint Capital Partners, bringing total funding to $76 million. Harmonic builds software that monitors AI use across browsers, desktop applications and agentic workflows. Its platform uses smaller language models to interpret the context of employee interactions and identify risks such as submitting credentials, confidential data or regulated information to external AI services. The company says it serves more than 100 businesses and protects millions of employees; those adoption figures are company-reported. The funding will support product development and commercial expansion.
Why it matters
Enterprise security is moving beyond simply blocking unapproved AI applications. Companies increasingly need visibility into what people and agents are doing inside approved AI tools and whether those actions violate internal policies. Context-aware monitoring can be more useful than simple allowlists or domain blocking.
The bigger picture
As autonomous agents gain more permissions, data-loss prevention and AI governance are likely to converge. Harmonic is positioning itself as a policy layer between enterprise users, agents and model providers. Long-term value will depend on detection accuracy, low false-positive rates and integration with existing security infrastructure.
