Harbinger Wins $300M FedEx EV Truck Order
FedEx’s 2,000-truck order gives Harbinger a major commercialisation signal in medium-duty electric fleets.

Harbinger’s FedEx order is a meaningful commercial signal in a part of the EV market where practical fleet economics matter more than consumer hype.
What happened
FedEx ordered 2,000 electric trucks from Harbinger in a deal valued at more than $300 million. Deliveries are planned by the end of 2027, and the order expands FedEx’s existing use of Harbinger vehicles.
The deal follows an earlier 53-truck order connected to FedEx’s investment in the company.
Why it matters
Medium-duty delivery trucks are one of the more practical segments for electrification. Routes are predictable, vehicles often return to depots, and fleet operators can measure fuel, maintenance and utilisation economics closely.
For Harbinger, a 2,000-vehicle order is more than a pilot. It suggests the company is moving toward real fleet deployment with a major logistics customer.
The bigger picture
EV startups have often struggled to convert prototypes into repeatable manufacturing and customer adoption. Harbinger’s order shows that electrification opportunities still exist where vehicle design, operating costs and fleet needs align clearly.
