GrowthCurve takes majority stake in TailorMed

Accessing a prescribed medicine can involve more than a clinical decision. TailorMed builds software around the administrative and financial steps that help patients start and stay on treatment.

What happened

GrowthCurve Capital made a majority investment in TailorMed on 2 November. The transaction gives the business a new controlling investor as it seeks to expand its reach and develop its services.

TailorMed works across medication access, affordability and adherence, serving providers, pharmacies and patients. The investment will support the growth of its platform and portfolio of AI-powered solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed in the transaction announcements.

Why it matters

Medication workflows connect several organisations and sources of information. Delays or missing financial support can prevent a prescription from becoming a treatment that a patient can actually obtain.

Software that coordinates those steps has a practical problem to solve. Its value depends on improving the workflow for the organisations involved and helping patients navigate access more effectively.

The bigger picture

Healthcare technology businesses can grow around the coordination work between clinical care, administration and payment. TailorMed’s majority investment is an example of capital going into that operating layer.

The next phase is about execution: expanding the platform, integrating new capabilities and demonstrating their usefulness in everyday workflows. The ownership change provides support for that work without establishing, on its own, that the intended improvements have already been achieved.
