Greyparrot Raises $27M for AI Waste Intelligence
Greyparrot has raised $27 million to expand camera-based systems that identify waste in real time, turning recycling streams into operational data.

Greyparrot has raised a $27 million Series B to expand its AI systems for monitoring waste as it moves through recycling facilities.
What happened
The round brings the company's total funding to $60 million. Greyparrot installs camera-based systems above sorting lines, where computer vision identifies materials and measures the composition of waste streams.
The company says its technology has analysed more than one trillion waste objects.
Why it matters
Recycling facilities often operate with limited real-time information about what is entering and leaving their systems. Better data can help operators adjust equipment, recover more valuable materials and identify contamination before it reduces output quality.
The same information is becoming useful for compliance. Packaging rules increasingly require producers and waste operators to understand what is collected, processed and recovered.
The bigger picture
Climate software creates the most value when it connects digital intelligence to physical operations. Greyparrot is not merely classifying images; it is building a data layer for an industry that has historically lacked consistent measurement. If that data becomes trusted, it could support pricing, reporting and investment decisions across the circular economy.
