Green Voltis raises €13.5m for battery operation and trading

A battery’s value depends on when it charges, discharges and participates in the electricity market.
What happened
Green Voltis announced a €13.5m Series A, with Lochpine Capital as the sole investor. Its software operates and trades standalone battery storage and renewable-energy projects paired with storage.
The company says it has more than 1.2GWh under contract and in operation. That combined figure should not be interpreted as capacity already operating in full.
Why it matters
Storage creates flexibility, but earning revenue requires decisions across changing prices and operating constraints. Software that manages those decisions can become an important part of a battery project’s economics.
The bigger picture
Automation still needs to protect the equipment and respect market rules. Green Voltis must demonstrate reliable performance across different sites and trading conditions, while turning its contracted pipeline into sustained customer activity.
