Gravity raises $30.5M for AI ads
Gravity raised $30.5M to build advertising infrastructure for AI chatbots and assistants.

If AI assistants become a new interface for the internet, someone will try to build the ad layer around them. Gravity is betting that layer will not look exactly like search ads or social feeds.
What happened
Gravity raised a $30.5M Series A co-led by Lightspeed and Committed Capital.
The company is building an advertising platform for AI chatbots and assistants, including text-based ads and early experiments with agent-to-agent advertising. The idea is that AI conversations could become a new distribution surface, where recommendations, sponsored placements and commercial intent are handled inside assistant workflows.
Why it matters
AI monetisation is still unresolved. Many chatbot and agent products have usage costs that rise with adoption, but subscription revenue alone may not cover every consumer or prosumer use case.
Advertising is the obvious business model to test, but it is also risky. In AI conversations, the line between helpful recommendation and manipulated answer can get blurry very quickly. That means the infrastructure layer will need to solve not only targeting and measurement, but also trust, disclosure and user experience.
The bigger picture
Search created one ad market. Social created another. If AI agents become a major internet interface, they may create a third. Gravity is an early signal that investors are already preparing for that shift, even before the rules of AI-native advertising are fully settled.
