Freya Raises €533K for Drone Detection
Freya raises €533K to scale low-cost drone-detection sensors and AI-enabled security analytics across Europe.

Freya Industries has raised €533,000 in an oversubscribed round to expand its drone-detection technology across Europe.
What happened
The Swedish company develops low-cost sensing systems designed to locate drones and their pilots, with data feeding into an AI-enabled security analytics platform. Investors include Foundry Ventures, Longswan Ventures, Propel Capital and Saminvest.
The round is small, but it comes as European governments and infrastructure operators increase spending on counter-drone awareness.
Why it matters
Drone threats are increasingly relevant to airports, military sites, energy infrastructure and public events. Traditional military-grade detection systems can be expensive and difficult to deploy broadly.
Freya is targeting a distributed model built around cheaper sensors that can cover more locations and feed intelligence into software.
The bigger picture
European defence technology is moving toward scalable networks of affordable sensors, software and autonomous systems. The market is not only about expensive weapons platforms; it is also about creating dense, software-connected awareness around critical infrastructure. Freya fits that lower-cost, distributed defence trend.
