Fox completes its Roku takeover
Fox has completed the Roku acquisition originally announced at a $22bn enterprise value.

Fox's Roku deal has moved from an agreement to a completed acquisition.
What happened
Fox announced completion of its Roku acquisition on 6 November. The cash-and-stock agreement was originally announced on 15 June with a $22 billion enterprise value. Today's development is the closing of that transaction, rather than a newly negotiated $22 billion deal.
Why it matters
Roku gives Fox a distribution platform alongside its content business. Connecting programming, audiences and advertising within the same group could create commercial opportunities, although ownership alone does not guarantee those benefits.
The bigger picture
The combination also puts attention on how a content owner manages a platform used by other publishers. For streaming businesses, the practical questions include access to audiences, advertising relationships and the treatment of competing services. Completion starts that next phase; it does not establish that integration has already succeeded.
