Fourthline and Veridas complete their digital-identity merger
The completed combination is backed by financing of up to €65m across equity and debt.

Identity checks are becoming a broader software business than checking a document.
What happened
Fourthline and Veridas completed their merger on 3 November, following the agreement announced in July. The transaction includes up to €65 million in financing, involving Finch Capital, new equity from Seaya Andromeda and debt from Ashgrove Capital.
Why it matters
The combination brings together compliance and decisioning software with biometric, document and voice technology. That could let regulated customers buy more of their identity and fraud-prevention workflow from one provider.
The bigger picture
The €65 million is a mixed financing package, rather than a single venture-equity round. Its stated uses include product development, acquisitions, debt refinancing and a shareholder reorganisation with partial liquidity. Integrating the businesses and selling complementary products will determine whether the combination produces the expected commercial benefits.
