Forus raises $150M as healthcare AI moves into workflows
Forus has raised $150 million at a $3 billion valuation as AI moves deeper into healthcare administration and reimbursement workflows.

Forus is one of the clearest examples of healthcare AI moving into the operational layer rather than staying at the chatbot interface.
What happened
The company raised a $150 million Series C at a $3 billion valuation, led by Bain Capital Ventures. Existing backers including Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel and Redpoint also participated. Forus automates workflows such as prior authorisation, insurance-benefit verification, appeals and pharmacy coordination.
Why it matters
Healthcare administration is fragmented, repetitive and expensive, making it a strong target for automation. Forus is trying to turn AI into infrastructure that sits directly inside reimbursement and medication-access workflows rather than an optional productivity tool.
The bigger picture
Some of the most valuable healthcare AI companies may be those that remove operational friction behind the scenes. That can create measurable economic value without requiring patients or clinicians to radically change how they interact with care.
