Flourish Launches $3,555 Home Robot

Flourish Robots has entered the home-robotics market with a machine designed around one of the category's hardest problems: letting ordinary users teach new tasks without programming.

What happened

The company emerged from stealth and launched Flourish 1, a home robot priced at $3,555.

Users can demonstrate household tasks through a mobile app.

The company says the robot can learn jobs such as clearing objects, loading a dishwasher, wiping tables and handling cat litter.

Initial pre-orders cover 50 units, with deliveries scheduled to begin in December.
