Fission has raised $10 million to provide liquidity infrastructure for tokenised private-market funds.

Fission has raised $10 million to provide liquidity infrastructure for tokenised private-market funds.
What happened
The Series A was led by Pantera Capital with participation from Circle Ventures, New Form, gumi Cryptos Capital, Borderless Capital and other investors. The financing closed in September but was publicly announced on 15 October. Fission allows eligible investors to sell tokenised fund interests through the platform rather than waiting for standard redemption cycles or finding another buyer. The company acts as a liquidity provider and says it has already processed millions of dollars in redemptions. Those activity figures are company-reported.
Why it matters
Tokenisation can make ownership records digital without automatically making private assets liquid. Investors still need counterparties, pricing and settlement mechanisms. Fission is targeting that missing layer by providing a route for faster exits from tokenised fund positions.
The bigger picture
If private-market tokenisation expands, liquidity and market-structure infrastructure may become more valuable than the token wrappers themselves. Fission's growth will depend on regulation, institutional adoption and whether it can manage inventory and pricing risk responsibly.
