FieldAI Reportedly Raises $700M at $10B

FieldAI’s reported $700 million financing would put physical AI firmly in mega-round territory, but the round should be framed as reported rather than independently confirmed.

FieldAI Reportedly Raises $700M at $10B

FieldAI’s reported financing would mark one of the largest robotics and physical-AI rounds of the year, pushing the company into late-stage platform territory.

What happened

FieldAI has reportedly closed a $700 million financing at a $10 billion valuation. The California startup develops hardware-agnostic “robot brains” designed to let different types of robots operate autonomously in unpredictable real-world environments.

The company’s pitch is not to build one specific robot, but to create autonomy software that can work across multiple machines and settings. Reported commercial traction includes more than $135 million in revenue and contracted business across more than 30 customers, although the financing has not yet been reflected consistently across the company’s own public channels and private-market databases.

Why it matters

If the round is confirmed, FieldAI would become one of the clearest signs that investors see robotics foundation models as a major AI platform category. The market is moving beyond chatbots and coding assistants toward systems that can perceive, decide and act in messy physical environments.

That is a much harder problem than pure software automation. Robots must deal with unreliable sensors, changing spaces, safety constraints and expensive hardware deployment.

The bigger picture

Physical AI is becoming one of the next major capital frontiers. The winners may not be the companies building every robot themselves, but the ones that provide the autonomy layer underneath warehouses, industrial sites, defence systems and service robots.
