Eyedentity Raises €1.3M for Eye-Cancer AI
Eyedentity’s early round shows how AI diagnostics can target existing clinical image workflows rather than trying to reinvent care delivery from scratch.

Some of the most practical AI healthtech wedges start with images clinicians already collect. Eyedentity is applying that idea to eye-cancer detection.
What happened
Stockholm-based Eyedentity raised an oversubscribed €1.3M, or SEK 15M, first investment round led by Norrsken Launcher. Karolinska Institutet Innovation and angels also participated.
The company is developing AI-powered diagnostics for earlier eye-cancer detection, with plans to expand into opticians, eye clinics and hospitals.
Why it matters
The round is small, but the workflow makes sense. Opticians and eye clinics already capture large volumes of eye images. If AI can help flag serious disease earlier, it could turn routine screening moments into earlier referral pathways.
The challenge is clinical validation, regulatory approval and integration into real healthcare workflows. AI diagnostics only matter if clinicians can trust them and act on them.
The bigger picture
Healthtech AI is moving from general “AI doctor” narratives into narrower diagnostic tools. The strongest companies may be those that fit into existing clinical processes and improve a specific decision point.
