Exploration Company raises €387M for reusable space transport
The Exploration Company has raised €387 million to advance its reusable Nyx spacecraft and supporting propulsion technology.

Europe’s push for independent orbital transportation has received another large private-capital boost.
What happened
The Exploration Company raised €387 million in Series C funding, co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners, Atomico and the EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund. The company will use the capital to advance its reusable Nyx spacecraft and development of the Storm reusable rocket engine.
Why it matters
Europe still depends heavily on a small number of providers for launch and orbital logistics. Building reusable transport systems could give European governments and companies more control over access to orbit and reduce reliance on external infrastructure.
The bigger picture
Reusable space transportation is becoming a real venture category rather than a single-company story. Large rounds are now funding not just spacecraft prototypes, but the industrial systems needed to manufacture and operate them repeatedly.
