Exclaim raises €4.29M for data-centre robots

AI data centres are usually discussed through chips, power and cooling. Exclaim Robotics is pointing at another bottleneck: the physical work needed inside the facilities themselves.

What happened

Zurich-based Exclaim Robotics exited stealth with €4.29M to build robots for AI data centres.

The company is targeting automation inside the facilities that support AI workloads. As data centres become larger and more specialised, tasks such as inspection, maintenance, deployment support and operational reliability become harder to manage manually at scale.

Why it matters

This is a clean Physical AI infrastructure signal. The AI boom is creating enormous demand for data-centre capacity, but those facilities still depend on physical operations: installing hardware, monitoring systems, detecting faults and keeping uptime high.

Robotics can become part of that operating layer. Instead of using AI only inside software products, Exclaim is applying automation to the physical infrastructure that makes AI possible.

The bigger picture

The AI infrastructure stack is expanding outward. First came chips and cloud compute. Then came power, cooling and networking. Now the operational layer of data centres is becoming investable too. Exclaim sits in that quiet but important overlap between robotics and AI infrastructure.
