Evvy Raises $40M for Women's Health Data

Women's health still suffers from major gaps in biological data. Evvy has raised $40 million to expand its vaginal microbiome platform and turn diagnostic testing into a larger longitudinal dataset for reproductive and precision-health research.

What happened

The Series B was led by Catalio Capital Management. Evvy's at-home test uses metagenomic sequencing to analyse the vaginal microbiome and provide information linked to symptoms and health risks.

The company says it has served more than 100,000 patients and is building a dataset connecting microbial composition with symptoms, treatments and health outcomes.

Why it matters

Many women's-health conditions remain poorly understood partly because research datasets are smaller and less detailed than in other areas of medicine.

Longitudinal microbiome data could help researchers identify patterns across fertility, infections and reproductive health while giving clinicians more context than one-off diagnostic results.

The bigger picture

Healthtech companies increasingly see proprietary datasets as a strategic asset. The value is not only in selling a test, but in accumulating structured biological and outcome data that can improve future diagnostics and research.

Evvy still needs to demonstrate how consistently microbiome insights translate into better clinical decisions. But the round shows growing investor appetite for women's-health platforms that combine diagnostics, data and research infrastructure rather than single-condition consumer products.
