Entourage closes €100 million fund for robotics and physical AI

Fund II plans roughly 25 early-stage investments, with initial cheques of €1–5 million and capital reserved for follow-ons.

Entourage closes €100 million fund for robotics and physical AI

Entourage is expanding beyond its first fund’s software emphasis. Its €100 million second fund adds robotics, physical AI and deeptech to the early-stage investment mix.

What happened

The firm announced the close on 29 October, just over two years after launching its first fund. It exceeded an initial €75 million target and capped the vehicle at €100 million.

Founded by Showpad co-founder and former CEO Pieterjan Bouten, Entourage plans to back about 25 pre-seed and seed companies across Europe and other markets. Initial cheques will range from €1 million to €5 million, with follow-on reserves.

The firm has also added investors, opened a London office and established a Paris presence. Its strategy continues to include enterprise software alongside the broader technology mandate.

Why it matters

The fund creates another early financing route for founders whose products connect software with physical systems. Those companies may need investors comfortable with longer development and deployment cycles.

The bigger picture

The important change is the mandate as well as the fund size. Portfolio selection and follow-on support will show how Entourage balances software businesses with companies facing hardware, manufacturing or technical validation milestones.
