ENPULSION Moves to Buy Lift Me Off

ENPULSION’s planned acquisition points to European spacetech consolidation around propulsion, mobility and in-orbit mission capability.

ENPULSION Moves to Buy Lift Me Off

European spacetech is starting to consolidate around the less visible but essential parts of the space stack: propulsion, mobility and mission operations.

What happened

Vienna-based ENPULSION entered an agreement to acquire 100% of Lift Me Off, a UK space propulsion company. Financial terms were not disclosed, and completion is subject to approval under the UK National Security and Investment Act.

ENPULSION had previously raised €22.5M in March to scale its spacecraft mobility systems. The acquisition would add chemical propulsion, tank systems and mission architecture capabilities to its existing electric propulsion base.

Why it matters

Launch costs get most of the attention, but satellites increasingly need better movement once they are already in orbit. Propulsion affects deployment, collision avoidance, mission extension and end-of-life deorbiting.

By expanding from components into a broader spacecraft mobility stack, ENPULSION is trying to become a more strategic supplier rather than a narrow hardware vendor.

The bigger picture

As Europe pushes for stronger space autonomy, propulsion and in-orbit mobility will matter alongside launch vehicles and satellites. This deal shows how spacetech companies may use acquisitions to build fuller infrastructure platforms.
