Encore Raises $30M to Turn Sales Calls Into AI Training Data
Encore AI raised $30 million to identify what top employees do in customer conversations and use those patterns to build company-specific agents.

Most enterprise AI agents begin with a general model and a pile of company documents. Encore AI thinks they should also learn from how a company’s best employees actually speak to customers.
What happened
Encore raised a $30 million Series A led by Team8.
Its interaction mining platform analyses calls, messages, emails and CRM records to identify behaviours associated with successful customer outcomes. Those patterns can then be used to build or improve customer-facing AI agents.
Why it matters
A product manual can explain what a company sells, but it rarely captures how a skilled salesperson handles an objection, how a support agent calms a frustrated customer or when an employee decides to escalate a conversation.
That practical behaviour is often scattered across thousands of interactions.
Encore is trying to turn those conversations into structured training data. If it works, the result could be agents that reflect a company’s actual operating style rather than sounding like a generic chatbot with access to internal documents.
The bigger picture
Enterprise AI companies are looking for defensible data advantages. Foundation models are widely available, so the differentiator increasingly comes from proprietary context, workflows and feedback.
Customer interactions could be valuable because they contain both the problem and the human response.
