Encoded raises $275M to push genetic medicine toward pivotal trials
Encoded Therapeutics has raised $275 million to advance its lead genetic medicine through pivotal development and expand manufacturing capability.

Encoded Therapeutics has raised a large late-stage round as its lead genetic-medicine programme approaches a pivotal phase of development.
What happened
The company closed a $275 million Series F with participation from investors including GV, ARCH Venture Partners, Braidwell, RTW Investments, SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Venrock. The capital will support pivotal development of ETX101 for Dravet syndrome and expansion of internal manufacturing capability.
Why it matters
Late-stage genetic medicines require capital not only for trials but also for manufacturing systems capable of producing complex therapies reliably. Funding both development and production reduces one of the major execution risks between clinical success and commercial launch.
The bigger picture
Biotech financing is increasingly tied to integrated execution. For advanced modalities, investors need companies to solve clinical, regulatory and manufacturing challenges in parallel rather than sequentially.
