EHE opens second raise for £15M AI fund
Manchester-based EHE Ventures opens another £1.5 million raise for its UK-focused AI Growth Fund.

Early AI startups often need more than a cheque. They also need technical leadership, product discipline and help turning prototypes into commercially credible businesses.
What happened
Manchester-based EHE Ventures opened the second £1.5 million capital raise for its UK-focused AI Growth Fund. The fund aims to deploy £15 million across AI-first companies from pre-seed through Series A.
Its first tranche backed eight companies across fintech, medtech, agriculture, marketing and marine technology. The vehicle operates through the UK’s Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme and Enterprise Investment Scheme and is available to qualifying investors.
EHE combines investment with engineering support, fractional CTO services and venture-building assistance.
Why it matters
The fund is small compared with major institutional venture vehicles, but it targets an important gap. Many early AI companies can build impressive demonstrations but struggle to develop reliable products, recruit technical leadership and win initial customers.
Combining capital with hands-on technical support may reduce some of that execution risk. It also reflects a broader shift toward investors offering operating resources rather than relying only on financial backing and introductions.
The bigger picture
As AI tools make company formation faster, the bottleneck is moving from creating a prototype to building a durable business. Smaller regional funds may compete by becoming more involved in product and engineering, especially in markets where founders have less access to large specialist teams.
