DG Matrix targets $250 million Series B for AI power infrastructure
The transformer maker’s Interport platform combines power electronics and software for higher-density AI data centres.

AI infrastructure needs equipment that can move electricity into increasingly dense computing racks. DG Matrix is trying to build that equipment at industrial scale.
What happened
DG Matrix reportedly plans a roughly $250 million Series B in early 2027. The financing has not closed.
The company develops solid-state transformers: power-electronics systems that convert and route electricity. Its Interport platform is designed to connect grid power, storage and other sources with data-centre loads.
Earlier in October, it introduced the Interport SST Cell and Interport OS as building blocks for a modular system supporting 800-volt direct-current distribution, aligned with NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure architecture.
Why it matters
Higher computing density changes the demands on power conversion and distribution. A modular approach could help operators introduce higher-voltage DC power while retaining parts of their existing site infrastructure.
That makes manufacturing capacity, reliability and deployment speed central commercial questions alongside the electronics themselves.
The bigger picture
For this financing plan, the next concrete milestones are a completed raise and evidence that production can meet customer requirements. The market opportunity depends on turning a technically capable system into equipment operators can procure, install and maintain.
