Depotcharge Raises €2.7M for Truck Charging
Depotcharge has raised €2.7 million to turn private logistics depots into a shared charging network for electric truck fleets.

Electric trucks need far more power than passenger cars, but building a dedicated public charging network will take time. Depotcharge has raised €2.7 million around a simpler idea: make better use of charging infrastructure that fleets already own.
What happened
The pre-seed round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds, with xdeck Ventures, Kopa Ventures, Prequel Ventures and angel investors participating.
Depotcharge lets logistics companies sell unused capacity at their private depots to other electric-truck operators. It is also launching BGL Charge with Germany's road-haulage association.
Why it matters
Truck charging is constrained by both infrastructure and utilisation. A depot may have expensive high-power chargers sitting idle for part of the day while another fleet struggles to find charging nearby.
A shared marketplace can increase asset utilisation and extend network coverage without requiring every location to be built from scratch.
The bigger picture
Heavy transport electrification will require a mix of public charging hubs, depot infrastructure and software that coordinates access.
Depotcharge is an early-stage bet on the interoperability layer between those assets. If fleet electrification accelerates faster than public infrastructure, private depots could become an important transitional charging network across Europe.
