Cymphony raises $30M to secure the AI workforce
Cymphony has emerged with $30 million in funding to help companies manage access across employees, AI agents and other machine identities.

Enterprise identity systems were built around human employees. AI agents are creating a new category of users that can act faster and across more systems.
What happened
Cymphony emerged with $30 million in total funding, including a $25 million Series A co-led by Sequoia Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund. Its platform maps access across employees, AI agents and other non-human identities, then helps security teams identify and remediate excessive permissions.
Why it matters
Autonomous agents can interact with many systems and change how they perform tasks over time. That makes traditional role-based access controls harder to manage and creates new opportunities for permissions to become overly broad.
The bigger picture
AI security is expanding into identity infrastructure. As companies deploy more agents, machine identities may become as important to govern as employees, service accounts and privileged administrators.
