Custodea Raises €350K for SME Data Infrastructure
Custodea raises €350K to give European SMEs a controlled data layer for analytics and AI agents.

Custodea has raised €350,000 in seed funding to help European small and midsized businesses consolidate operational data into a privately controlled environment.
What happened
The platform connects information from accounting, CRM, HR and other business systems, creating a unified data layer that can feed analytics products and AI agents.
Custodea is targeting SMEs that lack the resources to build internal data infrastructure but still want more control over how sensitive business information is stored and accessed.
Why it matters
AI agents are only as useful as the data they can safely access. For many smaller businesses, information remains fragmented across dozens of SaaS tools, spreadsheets and legacy systems.
A permissioned data layer can make automation more reliable while reducing the need to send sensitive information to multiple external services.
The bigger picture
The agentic-AI boom is creating demand for infrastructure below the model layer. Data integration, governance and permissions may become particularly valuable for SMEs, which need the benefits of AI but cannot afford large internal data-engineering teams. Custodea is targeting that enabling layer.
