Complaion Raises €13.5M for SME Compliance
Complaion raises new funding to automate certification and regulatory workflows for European SMEs.

Complaion is raising capital for a growing software need among small and medium-sized businesses: keeping up with regulation without building large internal compliance teams.
What happened
The Italian startup raised €13.5 million, led by Eurazeo and Italian Founders Fund, with additional European investors participating.
Complaion helps SMEs manage certifications and regulatory requirements including ISO standards, NIS2 and the EU AI Act.
Its platform combines software automation with compliance specialists, aiming to reduce the administrative burden of certification and audit preparation.
Why it matters
Regulation can create a major operational burden for smaller companies.
Large enterprises may have legal, risk and compliance teams, but SMEs often do not. That creates a market for software that makes compliance workflows more repeatable and less dependent on manual coordination.
The EU AI Act and cybersecurity rules may expand that need further.
The bigger picture
Compliance software is becoming a growth market as regulation spreads into more parts of the technology stack.
The opportunity is not only in serving banks or large enterprises. SMEs increasingly need structured tools to prove that they meet standards around security, quality and responsible AI.
