Clipto Raises $15M for AI Media Search
Clipto raised $15M at a $250M valuation to expand AI search across video, audio, images and files.

AI search is moving beyond web pages and documents into the messy media libraries people actually create and store.
What happened
Clipto raised a $15M all-equity round at a $250M post-money valuation. Investors include HSG, GL Ventures, EnvisionX, Palm Drive, Hans Tung, Lu Zhang and 522 Ventures.
The company lets users search across video, audio, images and files using AI. It says it has more than 30M users and hundreds of thousands of paid subscribers, with roots in creator workflows and a broader push toward personal and professional media search.
Why it matters
Search is becoming multimodal. Creators, teams and consumers increasingly need to find moments inside videos, speech inside audio, and context across files rather than searching only text documents.
Clipto’s scale makes the round more interesting than a small productivity tool. It shows that AI-native media search can start with creators, then expand into broader knowledge and file-management workflows.
The bigger picture
The next generation of search products may be less about universal web indexes and more about private, messy, multimodal context. Startups that organise personal and team media could become important interface layers for AI work.
