What happened

Cheiron raised an $8M seed round led by Menlo Ventures, with backing from biotechnology and technology executives including Moderna co-founder Robert Langer.

The company is developing an AI-native operating system that represents a drug-development programme as one connected knowledge structure. Its platform links evidence, assumptions, risks, decisions and regulatory obligations rather than leaving that information distributed across documents, spreadsheets and specialist teams.

Cheiron is focused on programme management and decision support, not generating new molecules directly.

Why it matters

A drug programme can fail because teams act on outdated information, repeat work or overlook dependencies between scientific and regulatory decisions. Better coordination may reduce delays and help leaders understand how new evidence changes the development plan.
