CapitalOS raises $21.9M for embedded financial infrastructure
LGVP leads CapitalOS's $21.9 million Series A to help software platforms add cards, wallets and payment products.

What happened
CapitalOS raised a $21.9 million Series A led by LGVP, with participation from WEX Venture Capital, Group11, Great North Ventures, Night Capital and existing investors. Its infrastructure lets B2B software platforms offer financial products including cards, wallets, bill payment and receivables tools.
Why it matters
A vertical software company may understand its customers' workflows but lack the licences, compliance systems and underwriting expertise required to move money. CapitalOS supplies that underlying financial layer so platforms can add products without building the entire operation themselves.
The bigger picture
Embedded finance is moving deeper into industry-specific software. The strategic value comes from combining the platform's customer context with financial execution while maintaining appropriate controls. CapitalOS says transaction volume has grown more than twentyfold over 18 months, but that figure is company-reported. Sustainable growth will depend on risk performance, regulatory execution and whether customers actively use the new financial functions.
