CapGrid Raises $4.87M for Manufacturing AI
CapGrid has raised $4.87 million in pre-Series B financing to expand its software-coordinated supply network for precision manufacturing components.

CapGrid has raised $4.87 million to make the fragmented market for precision manufacturing components operate more like a coordinated, software-managed production network.
What happened
The Indian B2B manufacturing platform raised ₹46.28 crore in pre-Series B financing led by Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures. Existing investors including Nexus Venture Partners, Anicut Capital and Axilor Technology Fund also participated.
The transaction was identified through regulatory filings rather than a company funding announcement.
CapGrid uses software and supply-chain data to coordinate sourcing, manufacturing, quality assurance and fulfilment for precision components. It serves sectors including automotive, aerospace and electric vehicles, where large manufacturers may otherwise need to manage many smaller suppliers.
Why it matters
Industrial procurement remains highly fragmented. Components can pass through networks of specialised manufacturers, creating complexity around supplier selection, capacity, quality and delivery.
CapGrid's proposition is to give customers a simpler interface while orchestrating production across a distributed supply base. Data from repeated orders could improve supplier matching and planning, although execution still depends on physical production meeting strict specifications.
The bigger picture
Manufacturing software is increasingly moving beyond record-keeping into active coordination of real-world supply networks. Platforms such as CapGrid are trying to make distributed factories behave more like one flexible production system.
The round is relatively modest, so the signal lies less in its size than in the operating model. CapGrid will need to show that its technology can scale across different components and industries without quality-control and working-capital demands growing just as quickly.
