Cambium Bio Secures A$10.85M for Phase III Trial
Cambium Bio has secured an A$10.85 million funding package to support a pivotal Phase III trial of its dry-eye treatment.

Cambium Bio has secured new financing to move its dry-eye programme into a pivotal Phase III trial.
What happened
The company secured an A$10.85 million funding package consisting of A$7.1 million from strategic shareholders and A$3.75 million of R&D tax-credit pre-financing.
The capital will support development of Elate Ocular, a biologic treatment for moderate-to-severe dry-eye disease.
Why it matters
Dry-eye disease is common, but many patients still cycle through treatments without durable relief.
A programme entering Phase III has moved well beyond early laboratory work and is approaching the stage where regulators will evaluate whether the therapy can support approval.
The bigger picture
Late-stage biotech financing is increasingly structured through combinations of equity and non-dilutive capital.
Cambium's package reflects that approach. The clinical outcome remains the key risk, but the financing gives the company a clearer route to the pivotal data needed for the next regulatory step.
