Buildcheck Raises $12M for Construction AI
Buildcheck has raised $12M to expand AI-powered design review for construction projects.

Buildcheck has raised a $12M Series A to expand its AI-powered construction design review platform.
What happened
The round was led by Telescope Partners and brings the company's total funding to roughly $18M. Buildcheck uses software to review construction designs before projects reach the field, helping identify conflicts, omissions and compliance issues earlier in the process.
Why it matters
Construction errors become dramatically more expensive once work has started onsite. Design review is therefore a high-value but labour-intensive step involving drawings, specifications, building requirements and coordination between multiple disciplines. Automating part of that process can reduce rework and shorten project timelines.
The bigger picture
AI in construction is increasingly moving beyond generic document assistants toward workflow-specific tools tied directly to project economics. Design review is a good example because the value proposition can be measured in avoided delays, fewer change orders and lower remediation costs.
