Bluesky Turns Attie Into Social Vibe Coding
Bluesky has expanded experimental AI product Attie so users can build websites, games, quizzes and other interactive experiences without traditional programming.

Bluesky has expanded experimental AI product Attie so users can build websites, games, quizzes and other interactive experiences without traditional programming.
What happened
Attie uses AI to create lightweight applications that run on the same AT Protocol underlying Bluesky. Users can bring their own AI model or use open-weight systems, and creations can connect directly to a user's Bluesky identity and social graph. Bluesky has described the concept as social vibe coding because creation and distribution happen in the same ecosystem. The product remains experimental and has not yet demonstrated a large commercial user base.
Why it matters
Most AI coding products solve software creation but leave distribution as a separate problem. By connecting generated apps directly to a social network, Attie could make it easier for non-developers to create small interactive products and immediately share them with existing communities.
The bigger picture
The experiment points toward a future where consumer apps become lightweight social objects rather than standalone products. Its value will depend on whether users create experiences that are more durable than novelty demos and whether the open protocol can support safe execution at scale.
