Blackswan Raises €2.5M for Orbital Navigation
Blackswan Space raised €2.5M to commercialise autonomous spacecraft navigation technology.

Blackswan Space raised €2.5 million to accelerate commercialisation of its autonomous spacecraft-navigation technology.
What happened
The Lithuanian startup is developing an autonomous rendezvous and proximity-operations payload for spacecraft. The system is designed to support vision-based navigation and orbital manoeuvres, with an in-orbit demonstration planned as a key validation milestone.
The funding will support commercialisation and expansion beyond Europe.
Why it matters
Space infrastructure is moving beyond launch and satellite manufacturing. Future orbital markets will need navigation, servicing, inspection, docking and in-space logistics.
Blackswan is still early, but it targets an important layer of that future stack: helping spacecraft move and coordinate more autonomously in orbit.
The bigger picture
As more satellites, stations and in-space platforms enter orbit, autonomous operations will become increasingly valuable. Companies building the control and navigation layer could become critical infrastructure for the space economy.
