Biorsaf Raises €5.2M and Acquires Cooki
Biorsaf has raised €5.2M and acquired Cooki as it builds a broader AI-powered food compliance platform.

Biorsaf has raised €5.2M and acquired Bologna-based Cooki as it expands from food-safety software into a broader operating platform.
What happened
The round was led by P101 SGR, with participation from Maia Ventures, Farming Future and Toscana Next. Cooki provides software for food information, traceability, labelling, costing, inventory and allergen management. Biorsaf also offers AI tools aimed at automating food-safety compliance and document workflows.
Why it matters
Food producers and operators manage a fragmented set of regulatory, safety and operational requirements. Combining compliance, traceability, labelling and inventory in one platform can reduce duplicate work and create a more complete data layer for the business.
The bigger picture
The funding-plus-acquisition structure is the stronger signal. Vertical software companies are increasingly using M&A to consolidate fragmented specialist tools and build broader operating platforms. Food compliance could follow the same pattern already visible in property, accounting and healthcare software.
