Bessemer Raises $5.75B for AI Investing
Bessemer Venture Partners has raised $5.75B across new early-stage and growth funds as AI reshapes venture capital deployment.

Bessemer Venture Partners has raised $5.75B across two new funds, giving the firm fresh capital across both early-stage and growth investing.
What happened
The firm allocated $1.75B to seed and early-stage investing and $4B to growth. Bessemer says it has backed more than 260 AI-native companies since 2022 and invested roughly $3B across AI-related businesses.
The new funds give it the ability to participate across a wide range of company stages.
Why it matters
The AI boom is reshaping venture fund construction as well as startup valuations. Leading private companies are staying private longer, raising larger rounds and requiring investors to maintain significant reserves for follow-on capital.
That favours firms capable of investing from initial formation through later growth.
The bigger picture
Venture capital is becoming more barbell-shaped: huge multi-stage firms on one side and highly specialised early-stage managers on the other. Large AI rounds are reinforcing the scale advantage of firms with enough capital to keep ownership through multiple financing cycles.
