Anthropic launches Claude Tag for Slack teams
Anthropic introduced Claude Tag, a Slack feature that lets teams tag Claude in channels and assign tasks inside workplace conversations.

Enterprise AI is moving from a chatbot you open separately to a teammate that sits inside daily workflows. Anthropic’s Claude Tag shows how workplace AI is becoming more persistent and context-aware.
What happened
Anthropic introduced Claude Tag, a research-preview feature for Slack that lets teams tag @Claude in channels, assign tasks and let Claude follow channel context over time.
The feature is available in beta for Slack for Claude Enterprise and Claude Team customers. Admins can scope which channels and tools Claude can access.
Why it matters
This is a strong enterprise AI workflow signal.
The next phase of enterprise AI is less about one-off prompts and more about agents that understand company context, coordinate work and operate inside the tools teams already use.
The bigger picture
Slack, Teams and similar collaboration platforms could become the front door for enterprise AI agents. The companies that solve permissions, context and trust will have a real advantage.
