Amazon brings Luna games into Prime Video
Amazon has embedded Luna cloud gaming inside Prime Video, reducing friction between streaming entertainment and interactive content.

Amazon is turning Prime Video into a broader entertainment surface by adding cloud games alongside films and television.
What happened
Amazon integrated its Luna cloud-gaming service directly into Prime Video.
Prime members in the US and UK can access a games section on supported Fire TV devices and play using a controller or a phone, without opening the separate Luna application.
The move places gaming inside a product that already has a large installed audience and established subscription relationship.
Why it matters
Cloud gaming has struggled to become a habitual consumer product. Technical performance has improved, but users still face separate applications, subscriptions and controller requirements.
Embedding Luna inside Prime Video reduces one source of friction and gives Amazon more opportunities to introduce games to people who did not actively seek out a gaming service.
It may also increase engagement with Prime Video and strengthen the overall value of the Prime subscription.
The bigger picture
Media platforms are converging around video, games, live events and social participation.
Amazon has the cloud infrastructure, hardware, commerce and subscription base to combine these formats, but distribution alone does not guarantee success. Luna still needs a compelling game catalogue and a reason for users to return regularly.
The integration is therefore both a product expansion and an admission that standalone cloud-gaming services have found it difficult to build durable consumer behaviour.
