Also Raises $150M for Autonomous Delivery

Also is a useful mobility signal because it is not just another electric-bike story. The company is trying to turn small electric vehicles into a broader autonomous delivery platform.
What happened
Rivian spinout Also raised another $150M Series D, led by Prysm Capital, with Eclipse, Greenoaks and MVP Ventures participating.
The company began around electric micromobility, including bikes and cargo-focused vehicles. Its newer direction expands into autonomous delivery vehicles, which makes the round more strategically interesting than a standard hardware raise.
Small-format electric vehicles sit between several markets: urban delivery, last-mile logistics, light commercial transport and consumer mobility. Also’s bet is that this category can become more useful when hardware, software and autonomy are designed together rather than bolted on later.
Why it matters
Autonomous mobility is often discussed through robotaxis, but delivery may be a more practical near-term wedge. Delivery routes can be narrower, economics can be easier to measure, and vehicles do not need to carry human passengers.
Also’s funding shows continued investor appetite for mobility companies that combine EV hardware with autonomy and logistics software. The challenge is that physical-world deployment is expensive. Manufacturing, fleet maintenance, regulation and urban operations can consume capital quickly.
The bigger picture
Mobility is becoming less about the vehicle alone and more about the operating system around it. The next wave of transport startups will need to prove they can manage hardware, autonomy, logistics workflows and real-world service reliability. Also’s round fits that pattern: the company is using micromobility as an entry point into a more automated delivery stack.
