Drug discovery needs useful experimental evidence as well as better predictive models.
What happened
ALLOX raised a $10.5 million seed round, led by Asabys through Sabadell Asabys II. Its platform combines large-scale genetics, experimental biology and AI to investigate opportunities for small-molecule therapeutics against difficult protein targets.
Why it matters
Mapping how proteins respond to changes can help identify promising places for drugs to act. Turning those opportunities into treatments still requires substantial experimental and clinical validation.
The bigger picture
AI-enabled biotechnology is increasingly about linking models with proprietary experimental workflows. Funding supports that work; it does not establish that a therapy is effective or ready for patients.
