Aisel Raises €1.7M for Psychiatry AI

Aisel Health is a small round, but the product focus is more interesting than another generic clinical AI assistant. It is targeting psychiatry, where context matters across repeated consultations.

What happened

Copenhagen-based Aisel Health raised a €1.7M pre-seed round led by Caesar Ventures, with Nordic Web Ventures, LifeX, Angel Invest, Rockstart and EIFO participating.

The company is building an operating system for psychiatry and mental health workflows. Its aim is to help clinicians surface patient context across consultations, reducing time spent digging through notes and improving continuity of care.

Mental-health work is often longitudinal. A clinician needs to understand history, symptoms, medication, prior conversations, risk factors and changes over time. That makes it different from a simple one-off appointment workflow.

Why it matters

AI scribing has become crowded in healthcare, but Aisel’s angle is more specific. The value is not only transcribing what happened in a session. It is helping clinicians retrieve the right context at the right time.

That could matter in psychiatry because fragmented notes can make care harder, especially when patients have long histories or multiple providers. The challenge will be accuracy, privacy and clinical trust. Mental-health data is highly sensitive, so workflow gains cannot come at the expense of patient confidence.

The bigger picture

Healthtech AI is likely to become more specialised by clinical setting. Psychiatry, oncology, radiology and primary care all have different workflows and risk profiles. Aisel’s funding is modest, but it fits a larger pattern: the strongest healthcare AI products may be the ones that understand the structure of a specific clinical job, not the ones claiming to automate medicine broadly.
